The MyLocoSound Steam board provides a background steam hiss when the loco is sitting idle. Some customers find it either annoying or just too loud. We have now modified the program so the volume of the steam hiss can be controlled independent of the steam chuff volume. While the loco is at idle, adjust the volume of the steam hiss. When the loco is running, adjust the volume of the steam chuff.
We have also added some variety to the European sounding whistles. See the new Steam Instructions for all the details. If you are interested in upgrading your steam card, the cost is just $15 plus S/H. Call us. 5-12-2016 Just added a product to the MyLocoSound page to update your firmware. Cost is $10 plus $10 shipping. It seems the vast majority of our sales have moved to the RailBoss 4 system, which provides a much nicer pocket sized transmitter, and it's easier to use. No waiting around to link, no calibration routines, no separate radio receiver to wire up, no TX on/off switch, etc.
So, we will be dropping new production of the RailBoss Plus Hobby receivers as soon as the current stock is depleted. If you are a RailBoss Hobby user and need to add another loco, now is the time. Only a few boards left. We also have a limited supply of the DSM2 compatible radio receivers. As with all of our products, we will continue to provide customer support, and repairs if needed, as long as feasible. The latest software release for the MyLocoSound Steam card now includes an option for "Thomas the Tank" whistle. Button 9, option 4 will select it via your IR remote.
MyLocoSound has always been a great sound option for the line of Bachmann "Thomas" locos. Now it is even better! New input voltage range for the Simple Critter Controls.
Same 7-20 volt range for use with 3 or 4 cell Lithium-Ion battery packs (11.1V,14.8V) New 12-25 volt range for use with 4 to 6 cell Lithium-Ion battery packs (14.8V,18.5V,22.2V) Significant improvements have been made to the American diesel sounds. The new heavy diesel sound simulates the EMD Dash-8, along with a prototypical sounding American horn.
Louder exhaust on notch up! Existing diesel customers can upgrade, if they wish. Just return the board to us for a fee of $15. Back by popular demand, the Enhanced Critter Control provides the auto-reversing trolley mode not available with the Magnetic Critter Control.
For those not familiar, the Enhanced Critter Control is a semi-automatic control board. Controls are via a simple push button/rotary speed switch. Just press the button and it accels up to speed. Track magnets and a reed switch facilitate automated station stops and back 'n forth trolley operation. Our existing transmitter continues to serve the vast majority of garden railroads well, with a real world range of up to 400 feet, as determined by line-of-sight testing with a RailBoss 4 receiver mounted in a large scale locomotive. Of course we have obstructions on our railroads, such as tunnels, dirt, and rock, which will reduce that range. And some railroads are just huge!
We are now offering a Long Range Transmitter that has literally twice the usable range of up to 800 feet. Only the largest and most demanding garden railroads will need this kind of range, but for the ones that do ... Here it is ! It has the same look and functionality on the outside. The difference is inside; a long range radio powered from two AAAA batteries, instead of a CR2032 coin cell battery. It was great to meet many of our customers face to face, as well as make many new ones! Both RailBoss 4 R/C and the MyLocoSound were very popular. A big thanks to Peter Lucas of MyLocoSound for coming all the way from Australia to assist in the booth. He was a tremendous help in demonstrating all of the new features of the new Universal Sound Card for Large Scale Steam or Diesel. He is always ready to hear your ideas for improvements, so if you have any, please let us know! Peter Lucas - MyLocoSound Del Tapparo - G-Scale Graphics
Only a month away (July 7-11)! We hope to see many of you at our booth (#255) in the vendor hall.
I am pleased to announce that Mr. Peter Lucas of MyLocoSound Australia will be in the booth to demonstrate the MyLocoSound products and answer your questions. We will have working demos of most of the G-Scale Graphics electronics: RailBoss 4 R/C, TrackSide R/C, Magnetic Critter Control, Simple Critter Control, and of course MyLocoSound Steam and Diesel sound systems. Products will be for sale in the booth while supplies last! Free Shipping on any out of stock items. We hope you plan on visiting the Northern Colorado Garden Railroaders for their garden railroad tours on July 11. Just an hour north of Denver and worth the drive. Preview here. |
